Southwest Airlines has moved from Harvey Milk Terminal 1 to Terminal 2 at San Francisco International Airport (SFO). The move doesn’t change Southwest’s schedule, but “customers will enjoy a shorter walk from our ticket counter to our gates,” Southwest spokesman Dan Landson says.

Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy has announced plans to hire more air traffic controllers and invest in technology upgrades. The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) will increase pay for students at its air traffic control academy by 30% and streamline the hiring process. “Congress will need to spend billions very soon to upgrade America’s antiquated ATC technology,” Secretary Duffy said in an interview with NBC News.

The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) anticipates high passenger volumes during the peak spring travel period, when air travel numbers are expected to increase by more than 5%. “With REAL ID’s May 7 deadline looming, it’s important to prioritize REAL ID registration now,” said Adam Stahl, senior official performing the duties of the TSA administrator. “By doing so, travelers can ensure a smooth and secure journey through the airport for both spring and summer travels.”
